A Portland Animal Hospital

Your Veterinarian in Portland, OR

Pet Samaritan Clinic was established in the early 1900’s to care for the horses that pulled the trolleys from the Willamette River into the Portland residential area. Nearly 100 years later, the clinic remains in its original location on East Burnside in Portland, Oregon. Our little red brick building has welcomed many, many pets into its open door. We are always accepting new patients. At Pet Samaritan Clinic, it’s all about the animals. Since 1982, our skilled and compassionate staff has provided complete veterinary care for the creatures that make our lives whole.

Our veterinarians and staff participate in continuing education to help keep up with the fast paced world of veterinary knowledge and care. Dr. Davies is currently treating some patients by mixing the Western medicine practice with the Eastern medicine approach by using Acupuncture. Acupuncture is a 3000 year old medical technique of using needles inserted into predetermined points of the body to produce a healing effect. By adding this approach to your pets’ medical treatments, she can reduce the amounts of medications your pet might need to help them heal. Our goals at Pet Samaritan Clinic are not only to treat your pet but to keep your pet healthy and feeling well. We are also strong believers in teaching owners how to enrich their pets’ lives and by keeping them up to date on preventative care.

Pet Samaritan works with outside organizations such as the House of Dreams- a no-kill cat shelter here in Portland. We often take part in neighborhood events to stay in touch with our community and we also offer an affordable Health Care Plan to help make your visits less stressful when it comes time to check out.

If you have not already brought your pet in to see us, please come in. Meet us and our team. We look forward to adding you to the Pet Sam Family.
