No Show Policy
As you know, we strive to give each pet the time they need during each appointment, and to see your pet as soon as possible when you call. To help us achieve this goal for all clients we ask that you to give us at least 24 hours notice if you cannot make your appointment, allowing us to offer your spot to another pet.
Please keep in mind that Pet Samaritan has a policy for clients who miss their appointments without advance notice.
Your first missed appointment will be excused.
The second missed appointment without notice will result in your chart being flagged. You will be required to pay for your office call while scheduling your visits each time thereafter. The office call charge is $59.50 and is non-refundable should you miss your appointment.

Late Policy for Appointments
If you are an established patient and you arrive 15 minutes late or more to your appointment you will likely be asked to reschedule unless the doctor’s schedule can still accommodate you.
Priority will be given to the patients who arrive on time and you may have to be worked in between them. This may mean you may have a considerable wait. If this is not convenient, you may choose to reschedule.
One or two late patients or an emergency cause the entire daily schedule to fall behind. We strive to see every patient as close to their appointment time as possible.
Please bare in mind when scheduling your appointment that we have on street parking on Burnside and the surrounding neighborhood, this can sometimes be challenging and allowing yourself extra time for parking really helps to keep appointments running on time. If you should need assistance getting your pets into the clinic please call the front desk and let them know. We are more than happy to run out to your car and get them so you may get parked.
We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, cash and personal checks.
We also accept Care Credit. We do not do billing but in emergency situations we can help you apply for Care Credit to cover your costs. On bills over $200.00 they can bill you with no interest for 6-18 months depending on your needs. You may also apply on their website, usually approval will happen within 5 minutes of your application review.
For the protection and convenience for everyone in the hospital ,all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms. All cats and other small pets must be presented in an appropriate carrier or on a leash.
It is our policy that for the best medical care all of our vaccines are given in conjunction with a full physical exam from the doctor. In Multnomah County each dog or cat is required by law to have a current Rabies vaccine given by a licensed veterinarian along with a current Multnomah County Dog/Cat License. Licenses can be purchased online from the county or through our clinic.
