Dr. Karen Davies

Dr. Davies attended and graduated from Oregon State University where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in the year 2000.  She also attended the University of Washington, where she pursued her interest of science and received her Bachelor's of Science in Zoology.

She has always been intrigued by the world of science, the practice of medicine and its ways of healing, but most importantly she has always had a special place in her heart for all kinds of animals.  At Pet Samaritan she treats each animal with a gentle hand whether it be a dog, cat, avian or pocket pet.  She decided that practicing veterinary medicine was her true calling when she realized she could put all of her interests into one career.

Dr. Davies grew up in the Pacific Northwest and lives with her husband, daughter, their 3 dogs, and 2 cats. She has recently started to feel the urge to adopt a horse from a local horse rescue!

In addition to the exceptional care and treatment all our doctors provide, Karen can perform acupuncture on your pet.  Acupuncture is a 3,000 year-old Chinese medical technique of using needles inserted into predetermined points of the body to produce a healing effect.  Although acupuncture is many times used as a sole treatment, it is often used in conjunction with modern, western medicine.  Acupuncture is most often found to benefit long-standing conditions such as arthritis, but can be helpful in some acute medical conditions.
