Dr. Voorhees received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, at Oregon State University. His exposure to veterinary medicine started as a young boy with his Grandfather Voorhees, a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Class of 1912. His interest in veterinary medicine continued to grow during a four-year internship at The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, California where he volunteered to care for sick, injured and orphaned harbor seals, elephant seals, California sea lions, and sea otters.
Dr. Voorhees has focused his attention toward small animal medicine, with a particular interest in surgery. His personality and philosophy towards veterinary medicine reflect an innate gentle and caring approach with patients and clients. His appreciation of the human-animal bond inspires him to provide the best quality medical care possible.
